Jupiter in Pisces
Lorenzo Trivelli presents "Giove in Pesci," an installation consisting of twelve sheets of recycled paper that symbolize the twelve houses in the sky. For Trivelli, the act of recycling paper holds a ritualistic significance, wherein each step becomes a symbolic action that transforms the material. The process itself carries more importance than the final outcome. The twelve sheets of recycled paper are arranged in a circular formation, representing the eternal and organic movement of the Pisces zodiac sign, which encompasses both spiritual and physical transformations. Amber threads, symbolizing Jupiter, are used to fasten the sheets to the background. The rays extending outward from the circle represent the expansive energy that Jupiter has brought to the sign of Pisces. The artwork is created using recycled paper and gold leaf, which are meticulously sewn onto canvas using cotton thread.
Its dimensions are 43x48 cm.
